What is the difference between the HTML site map and XML sitemap?

The HTML site map helps visitors find pages and products. The XML sitemap provides search engines with indexable URLs, update information and language alternatives in machine-readable form.

Why does the site map include only active content?

Inactive, draft, restricted or non-indexable records should not be recommended to visitors or search engines. When publication status changes, the dynamic map is rebuilt from current data.

How are language alternatives represented in the sitemap?

Each indexable URL is associated with its available language siblings and default version. Product and category siblings are matched by the same record identity, not by text similarity.
